It seems societal norms — and too many ambitious Facebook friends — expect us to “catch up” on all those lingering household projects, plus take up bread baking and gardening and sewing, during this quarantine. After two months, that has not happened — and many of us feel ashamed that we’re “missing an opportunity” because we can’t balance all of life’s new daily responsibilities, plus the stress of this slow-motion trauma. “Good enough” should be good enough right now, but it sure doesn’t feel that way.
You might notice more difficulty managing ADHD symptoms lately. You might feel trapped, stuck, and immobilized with more time at home than you can stand. Perhaps you are someone who feels a sense of relief or increased productivity amidst the stress and uncertainty of the world today.
